Who we are
Founded in 2007, the BIO OIL Group has emerged as a pioneer in the biofuel industry. We specialize in the production of sustainable energy solutions, transforming waste materials into valuable resources like biodiesel and biomethane. Our mission is to promote the circular economy by repurposing waste into renewable energy, thereby reducing environmental impact and contributing to a greener future.
We operate four state-of-the-art production facilities and one biomethane plant, strategically located across Europe. These facilities enable us to efficiently serve various regional markets, ensuring logistical flexibility and cost effectiveness. We collect used cooking oil (UCO) and other waste products, which we then process into biodiesel, biomethane and valuable by-products in our plants. Our integrated approach, from collection to production, ensures a reliable and sustainable supply chain.

Foundation and Initial Growth
2007
The BIO OIL Group was established in 2007, marking the beginning of its journey in the biofuel industry. The company quickly laid its foundation by opening a UCO based cooking oil trading desk, thus setting the stage for future expansion.
Expansion of UCO Collection
2008 - 2010
During these years, BIO OIL expanded its operations by initiating UCO collection in Belgium and Austria. This period also saw the start of biodiesel production in Austria and Germany, through management contracts and tolling agreements, paving the way for the company's entry into biodiesel production.
Strategic Acquisitions and Market Expansion
2012
In 2012, the BIO OIL Group made a significant move by purchasing a biodiesel plant in Eemshaven, the Netherlands. This acquisition allowed the company to scale up its production and strengthen its presence in the European market.
Strengthening Operations and Regional Presence
2014 - 2017
The company continued to expand its UCO Collection network to into Eastern Europe, including Bulgaria, Romania, Slovakia, and Ukraine. The purchase of shares in additional biodiesel plants across Austria and Germany during this period significantly boosted the group's annual production capacity, leading to a 100-300% increase in output at each plant.
Technological Advancements and Capacity Expansion
2018 - 2022
This period was marked by major enhancement projects at BIO OIL's facilities in the Netherlands and Austria, where production capacities were significantly increased. The company also focused on advancing UCO recycling and pre-treatment technologies, further solidifying its leadership in the biofuel sector.
